Wow, the last two weeks of Greatest American Dog. From the food challenge, the dancing, the ringing of the bell to the digging to release the door to the box and finishing up with the maze. There was lots of anger, stress, confusion, sadness and joy in all of these challenges, let’s talk about a few of those emotions that ran through the dogs owners while they try to complete the challenges.

I would like to start with Bill and Star. I just got so excited last week when Bill and Star did the food through the wall challenge. It was like Star knew that her favorite treat was just around the corner. Plus, the painting challenge, even though the judges didn’t praise him, I thought he and Star did great coming up with a nice painting. This weeks challenges were quite fun too. I felt that when Bill and Star got teamed up with Travis and Presley, only great things would happen. Bill handled Star and Presley wonderfully and it was wonderful they won the Dog Bone Challenge. But sadly, they came up short when they had to work the puppies through The Maze. I thought the judges were way too hard on Bill; all he was trying to do is compete. I know in my heart that Bill would never push Star to hard on purpose. Now don’t get me wrong Star was exhausted and ran all she could. I was so happy when they didn’t get voted off and will return next week.

Travis and Presley are turning out to not be what I thought they would be. Last week between the food and wall challenge and the very sad dance routine, they just haven’t been able to keep up. I believe if he hadn’t been partnered up with Bill and Star for the bell and box challenge, I think he would have possibly been close to being voted off. It was hard to watch Travis work Presley through the maze, I think if he would have thought more like a dog trainer he could have worked Presley just like J.D. worked Galaxy, making him stop and wait for the puppies instead of racing through the maze and having to continue to run in to get the puppies. I bet he really got scared when he was in the top three for a chance of being illuminated.

J. D. and Galaxy rocked this week. But last week when it came to wall and treat challenge, he did great and again I though the judges were way too hard on him when it came to their painting. I mean how many dogs do you know that can put icky stuff all over them and do obedience commands? I would say that I’m a really good dog trainer but I don’t know if I could have done better than any of them when it came to this challenge. This week was another great week for J.D. and Galaxy, the team up with Laurie and Andrew went on with a hitch. Plus, as we all know the maze challenge again showed how great the team really is. But the two female judges arguing was hilarious and couldn’t have looked more fake but I did enjoy the spat and the make up too. I think they really went over board when it comes to the way J.D. trains Galaxy.

Everyone has their own approach, the dog owners that don’t work with their dog or seek the guidance from a dog trainer are the one that are taking their dogs to the animal shelter and then returning shortly to get another one. Not understanding that it is them, not the dog. Each dog takes a different approach and has a different personality and sadly its people that mess up dogs not the other way around. If a dog isn’t performing the way the owner wants then the owner is to blame not the dog. I really believe J.D. and Galaxy will be in the top three when it comes time to pick a winner. I hope next week, he wows the judges and they don’t have any reason to criticize his dog training skills. GO J.D. AND GALAXY!!!

Let’s talk about Beth Joy and Bella Starlet. Now as you know I’m not a fan of Beth Joy and I think she is way too emotional when it comes to Bella Starlet. I think if she could possibly not make it personal and just business, she and Bella Starlet could do much better. I think her painting was over rated and found it know better than J.D.’s or even Laurie’s. I must say though, Bella Starlet did appear to enjoy painting a bunch and each time they video taped them, they looked happy. I do agree with Travis and I don’t think Beth Joy pushed Bella Starlet to hard and that Bella Starlet is way too sensitive when it comes to her feet. And it was even more awesome when Travis left the pretty girl and stood up for Beth Joy and expressing his knowledge of Bella Starlet’s feet. Again I think when it comes to Bella Starlet; it all comes back to Beth Joy’s emotions. The way Bella Starlet was growling and snapping at everyone, is a perfect example of a dog not knowing if it is a dog or a human. But I really believe Beth Joy doesn’t even know that she is doing it. I think it all comes from her heart and she just hasn’t been told or won’t listen when it comes to advice about Bella Starlet. Also, if I see her cry one more time I’m going to scream, I really thought those tears and those cloths alone would have gotten her voted off a long time ago.

Boy hasn’t Teresa and Leroy came along way? At first I didn’t like her personality or her dog training skills. But now I feel she is doing a much better job and is doing her best to stay calm and not yell at Leroy. Yea Teresa! I think Leroy is a great dog and with her changing ways I bet they will also be in the top three when it comes time to pick a winner. They got great marks on the painting challenge and didn’t won the dog bone challenge but thanks to Bill and Star, Teresa and Leroy did get to spend time in the Suite. I just knew when Bill won he was going to return the favor and give the dog bone to Teresa. What a gentleman Bill is. It was too bad that Teresa and Leroy got paired up with Beth Joy and Bella Starlet, I bet her heart fell to her knees when they announced who she would be paired with. Especially the way Bella Starlet had been acting aggressively towards everyone. I knew Leroy would do great but Bella Starlet digging for Teresa, no way. I do believe Teresa could have done more to motivate her and not act scared of her and afraid she might bite. Actually I believe that she took her chances and decided that if Bella Starlet acted aggressively she would cave on purpose, maybe to prove a point to the judges. And you know what, IT WORKED! I think it was her plan all along. I think that was pretty smart thinking. Not to mention the maze. Go Teresa and Leroy!!

Laurie and Andrew, now I just have to say, I just don’t like Laurie, she comes across so knowledgeable but doesn’t apply it to her dog. I definitely think she is going to be voted off soon. I think she is too harsh, especially the way she spoke to J.D. about how he trains Galaxy. The judges tore her up about her painting, even though I think they were too hard on her verbally. I think she seems to have a chip on her shoulder for some reason, if she just loosened up a bit, her and Andrew could do much better. The wall and food challenge just didn’t go well for them but I must say that Andrew did do very well ringing the bell and Laurie did handle Galaxy well. But when it came time for the maze I don’t think Andrew was the only one that didn’t like the Golden Retriever puppies. As soon as they entered into the maze holding area, there was definitely know acclamation going on. All Andrew wanted was to get out and at that moment me and thousands of others knew Andrew wouldn’t be capable of doing the maze challenge properly. I think if she hadn’t of been paired up with J.D. and Galaxy, she could have possibly been the one that got voted off instead of Beth Joy and Bella Starlet. I have a feeling Laurie and Andrew will be the next team to be voted off. Will see
